About Mudumalai


Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary lies in Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu. It is separated from Bandipur National Park in Karnataka by the Moyar river. It is known for tigers, elephants and lepoards. A large number of herbivores and birds can also be seen here.

Reaching Mudumalai


Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is 220km from Bangalore.

Route 1: Bangalore - Mysore - Nanjangud - Gundelpet - Bandipur - Mudumalai.

Reaching till Gundelpet is easy in KSRTC bus from Bangalore. From Gundelpet to Mudumalai there are only very few buses. While driving through the forest road make it a point to not disturb the animals you see.
