Iruppu Falls is a waterfall on Lakshmanatirtha river in south Coorg. This river is a tributary of Cauvery. There is temple amidst the paddy fields from which one has to walk to the falls through forest. This temple will be crowded with poeple during Shivaratri. The falls is the starting point for trekking up Brahmagiri.
Post monsoon is the best time to see the falls. August to January is the best season.
Srimangala and Kutta towns have many home stays and resorts which can be opted for stay and food. Gonikoppal is the nearest town with lodges available.
KSRTC runs only one Rajahamsa through Srimangala which goes to Kutta from Bangalore. There are ample number of KSRTC bus services to Gonikoppal from Bangalore. From Gonikoppal private buses are available in plenty to Srimangala. From Srimangala Iruppu falls is just 10km away.
